Liebherr load testing
Euro Rope provides professional load testing for Liebherr cranes and lifting equipment. We support the complete process, from test preparation and rigging to the controlled application of the required test load.
Our experienced team works with certified equipment and follows the applicable safety requirements. This helps verify the crane’s lifting performance, stability and safety systems before it is returned to operation.
Load testing cranes
Euro Rope provides comprehensive load testing for all types of cranes, from provision cranes to heavy lift cranes. A load test involves testing a crane under controlled conditions to ensure that it can safely lift the required weight and function correctly. Depending on the application, tests can be carried out using pontoons, water bags, or solid test weights.
Our certified inspectors (EKH) perform both proof load and functional tests, fully in accordance with international regulations and industry standards. These tests not only provide assurance of the crane’s performance but also form an essential part of statutory inspections and safety requirements.
All tests are conducted on an NMi-certified test bed, ensuring accurate and fully traceable results. Whether onshore or offshore, we have the knowledge, expertise, and equipment to perform reliable tests safely and efficiently minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety of your operations.
Pad eye testing
Pad eyes are fixed lifting points, often welded or bolted onto ships, structures, or offshore installations. They are used to safely lift or secure loads. Since these points must be able to withstand extremely high forces, it is essential that their strength and reliability are tested periodically.
Pad eye testing ensures the safety, strength, and reliability of these lifting points and the welded structures in which they are integrated. Tests can be performed both onshore and offshore using certified equipment suitable for proof load tests (to verify that the point can handle the required weight) as well as break load tests (to determine the maximum capacity).
Our service technicians are highly trained and experienced, carrying out all tests in compliance with international standards and client-specific requirements. For maximum accuracy and traceability, we use hydraulic testing equipment, calibrated load cells, and data logging systems. This provides you with a complete and reliable assessment of the safety and performance of your lifting points.
Test bed
The in-house test bed at our workshop is NMi-certified, ensuring both accuracy and compliance with international standards. On this test bed, we can load and test components and lifting equipment under controlled conditions. This allows us to precisely determine whether materials and structures can safely withstand the required forces.
We perform both destructive tests (in which a component is loaded to the breaking point to establish its maximum capacity) and non-destructive tests (in which the condition and strength are verified without causing damage). All tests are carried out according to the client’s specific requirements.
Upon completion, you will receive a detailed test report containing all measurement data, guaranteeing full traceability and assurance of the reliability of your equipment.
Bollard pull testing
With our own fleet of calibrated and NMi-certified load cells, shackles, and lifting equipment, we provide reliable support for performing traction tests. During these tests, the maximum pulling force of vessels, tugboats, or installations is measured to ensure compliance with the required capacity and safety standards.
Depending on the application, a traction test can be used for:
- verifying the bollard pull (traction capacity) of tugboats
- checking the performance of anchor or towing installations
- demonstrating compliance with legal or client-specific requirements
All tests are carried out in accordance with applicable industry standards and international regulations. For maximum accuracy, we use certified measuring equipment and calibrated load links and shackles.
Upon completion, you will receive a detailed test report containing all measurement data, including full traceability. This provides certainty about the performance and safety of your equipment and forms a solid basis for both internal quality controls and external certifications.
