NDT for steel wire ropes

Euro Rope employees are trained by Intron to perform NDT for steel wire ropes.
Wire ropes deteriorate during operation and need inspection throughout their service life for safety of personnel and operations,
economic and safe extension of rope life, and satisfying regulatory agency requirements.
Euro Rope can perform these tests for you, as well as other inspections.

The Basics

With our magnetic reflux testing heads we create a magnetic field in the steel wire rope.
After that we record multiple data lines on different sensors, after recording we download the files.
When that is done we can start analysing the results, which is done by one of our NDT specialists.
We make a detailed report for you, and explain the results and our conclusion.
All according to the standards set out in ISO 4309:2010 (for crane wires).

NDT and greasing

NDT and greasing can, in most cases be performed at the same time.
